I love "accidentally" coming home to my parents and finding my birthday presents on the kitchen counter. So many arrowheads I could puke! All these man-made arrowheads were found mostly in southern Alberta over the last 4 decades by my mother's two brothers. I took some pictures so you can share the excitement with me... detailed descriptions at the bottom!
(1) I spent most of the weekend procrastinating studying for my midterms. I did this mainly by learning new songs on the ukulele while sitting on the veranda and knitting Christmas presents.
(2) the oldest arrowhead out of the collection
(3) Letter from Elvin
"I have also given you the rattle. Dad had got this from some old Indian from the Blood Indian Reserve at Brocket, in exchange for some work he'd done. Apparently it had been handed down through time in the family. It's an original"
(4) (Left) Arrowhead made from Quartz - really rare
(5)Turquoise from Nevada. Cut, polished, and wrapped by aunt Donna
(6) Jade Arrowheads - from India
(7) Apple Coral. Cut, polished, and wrapped by aunt Donna
(8) The original rattle, dating back ~200 years
(9) The collection
